These dreams...

Last night I took a tour of a "haunted house" which wasn't very haunted at all. Just a fast amusement park ride with some scary transitions between scenes. The part where you passed through a tunnel of shower curtains and 20 mph with something vague clawing at the plastic was creepy. The scenes that were supposed to be frightening were unfinished, and looked like something from the Muppet Show. Granted, the muppet show could be downright creepy, but this wasn't it. There was a set of the furniture that came alive and ate people.
After the tour I talked to two of the creators of the ride. One was a striking woman with black hair wearing a black dress. She was in the process of designing the characters for the ride. The only thing odd about her were her teeth... we agreed to meet later for a date, both of us approaching the issue with shyness and a hesitancy that the other woman found amusing. She wore a red dress, had brownish red hair, and was apparently a long standing friend of mine. She was responsible for the overall theme and transitional parts. She childed me about my upcoming date as we sat together, and the sitting turned into teasing and ticking. She commented on how come we never fell for each other all these years. I told it was likely because I didn't think she thought of me that way. She looked me in the eyes with a cryptic smile and said "That's not the case at all." We stared at each other in the fragile way when a friendly embrace is just on the verge of becoming something different, when old hints and thought click audibly into place, and your entire universe is about to change.

And it did. Because I woke up.

I've had dreams like that.

For a while this would happen once every other week or so... I'd be in a dream, doing regular dream stuff, and my eyes would meet the eyes of a woman I knew. (It wasn't always the same woman.) We would stare into each others' eyes and time would stop. For what seemed like three, four minutes, just the locked stare. Then I would blink or break contact, and I would wake up.

What was extra amusing is that neither of us forgot about the date with the woman in black... it's the kind of situation that works fine in dreams, but gets horribly messy in real life.

Wow....

I like that style of dream- telling... you had me going for a while.
I liked it....

I am sorry it was not real. :)
