Time Travel: Boat Load of Sushi

Monday was a triumph of my ability to get things done. Despite some really lousy sleep, I made it through the day, then to my gym date with Sarah, then home to shower and change and get to the VHS meeting on time. We talked about setting things up for a cliffhanger in the next game, then I was off to Fugakyu to make it to the surprise birthday dinner... which I just made it to! Dinner was quite exquisite, sitting among so many lovely people, trading our usual banter, talking about our pasts while we waited and waited for the food to arrive. And when it did... it was delicious. Slabs of fish, more than I expected. I was quite full at the end, but had a little room left over for ice cream and birthday cake. I got a corner!

I hooked my new client up with her latest "fix" and then went to Ceremony to help get the birthday boy liquored up. I was too full to dance effectively, but I did gyrate for a few songs. Had some nice conversations in the club and on the way home. The general feeling of happiness, which I haven't noticed so much in my life before, was on me full force. Not content in the passive, sluggish sense. Happy to be in the moment, to be surrounded by people, by friends, to be sated with food and sweaty from dancing. Happy to know that more good times are ahead.

..and don't forget....
