Clothes make the man

For those of you who are in the know, what do you think of H&M? Decent quality, stylish, or quick to wear and tear? I need to pick up some new jeans, and maybe T shirts. I'd like to get some decent quality items that look good AND will last for a bit.

If you have any other favorite places for shopping (guys especially, I KNOW some of your metro's out there shop. Don't deny it!) give a shout out!

imho, H&M = Target * european aesthetic. Relatively stylish, cheap, inconsistent sizing and you're lucky if they're worth wearing two years from now.

... but, at their prices, even if you have to replace every two years, it's not too bad.

Most of what I have picked up from H&M have been tops -- t-shirts and dress shirts mostly, and one pair of linen pants. The dress shirts are doing ok, but the t-shirts are fading fast and the linen pants didn't last a month before ripping.

I bought a pair of not-particularly-fitted linen pants from H&M that ripped right across the ass at a wedding rehearsal dinner. It was pretty awesome to have one of those cliches of embarrassment actually happen to me in real life, especially because I didn't actually notice the ripping until well after it happened.

I still buy a ton of shit there.
