Charmed, I'm sure

Believe it or not, I rather enjoyed the film Enchanted.  I laughed out loud when Giselle sang her "summon animals" song, and it worked!  I probably never would have seen it on my own, but my roommate rented it, so there you go.

Very slow day at work today.  Weighed in at 221 last night after lifting.  Tonight is for running, then rocking.

I may check out Darq this weekend, if anyone else is interested in going shout out.

Lastly, February is almost behind us!  Winter is just about to end, so of course we get a big weekend of snow before it goes.  Bah!

I adored Enchanted. Just enough cheese not too much hoakiness. :)

I liked it much more than I expected too. The side characters were extra amusing, too.

I really need to get over myself wrt certain actors. Patrick Dempsey is such a sleazey-looking guy, he turns me off of everything he's in. I keep hearing about how cute this movie is, and I'd probably love it, but DEMPSEY.

Hey, I'm thinking about moving back to Boston - know anyone who needs a benefits attorney? *g*

You could always try focusing on Amy Adams instead of Patrick. He's not much of a leading man in my eyes, either.

I'll keep my ears open about anyone who needs a good attorney. :)

I had my doubts about that movie (especially the first 10 minutes), but I ended up laughing most of the way through it.

There were a lot of cute nods in the movie to other Disney films. When the henchman was in disguise at the pizza parlor, he reminded me of Ron Jeremy. Now that was a surreal little moment.

I was surprised at how much I liked this movie as well!

I'm glad Disney was good enough to make fun of itself, while still making the same kind of movie they normally would (happy endings and all). I was expecting it to be a much more serious, "Disney character comes to the real world and has to face the same grim realities that we do", but Giselle's retaining of her fantasy powers, combined with her change of affection, was pretty cute.

I loved the henchman guy, especially for his fake accents, but the fact that he knew them in the first place (having come from a different dimension) was the one thing that shattered the reality of the movie for me.

Maybe they had Italian and Russian parallels in the Enchanted Kingdom? Timothy Spall was also in Sweeney Todd and the Harry Potter movies.
