I totally did that "run out to the middle of my yard and stand there and watch and wait" thing I do when a storm blows in. It's really great until you go back inside and have to peel your jeans off...

I don't know, wet-and-sticking-to-you denim isn't my idea of a sexy time personally. It feels kinda icky and there's no graceful way to do it. But I totally agree about the drying-off-the-rainwater part... I should just really border our yard with a thick (live) bamboo fence and then I could just drop trou and THEN run outside. That would solve the problem!
