Blondes, it turns out, do have more fun.

They also have the tendency to warp reality, and make people's head explodes. I suppose I should apologize to you for that. :)

Daughter of the Forest, by Juliet Marillier. I haven't started it yet (will probably read Dzur first), but it will be next on the list. Hilary highly reccomends it.
