in brief

Tea at work is definitely a mood enhancer.  I'm still continuingto experiment with lunch sizes, I think I'm getting closer to a level that doesn't knock me out, and doesn't leave me famished.

Poi continues to go well.  I'm learning new things each time, and making some plans to buy actually ignitable poi.  It's going to be a hot summer!

Ceremony was rather good as well.  I wasn't expecting it to be, but it surprised me (in more ways than one).  Thanks Fugbug!

If my brain were my stomach I'd be seasick, that's how up and down today has been.  Hopefully my sushi plans are still on for tonight...

Yikes, flaming Poi??? Are you sure you want to try that? How long have you been practicing for??

That last line was very funny. I've felt that way many times before. Well defined. (Ok, the line before the last line. [Mmmm sushhiiiiii...])

I've actually burned already, but I've learned a lot of new things since then.

Unfortunately, the sea sickness continues.

I think I missed the explanation of the sea sickness... what is causing it?

my mood bouncing up and down in rapid succession. It's the mental equivalent of sea-sickness. Today I'm blaming it on no tea, so once I"m off of this phone call, I'm getting some caffiene in me stat!

Uh Oh, have you created a caffeine dependency?

Oh yes, I pay great attention, you did mention something about your brain being sea-sick! :P

Maybe you need a distraction or a vacation or a method of escape, like a movie marathon, or reading a good book, or a night away in a cabin in the woods...

What worked for me was a medium lunch and two snacks (one two hours before lunch and one 2-3 hours after). My desk draw had a collection of Clif bars, sunflower seeds, and other healthy snack food (and pretzel bits which weren't all that healthy, but not that bad save for the salt). It kept my energy up through out the day and I was never hungry or tired from over eating.

I have the post lunch snack down now, I just need a little something to nosh on before lunch. Tea helps a lot too.
