Ill winds and headgear

The loss of my hat Friday night participated a string of bad luck over the weekend.  I think the celebrating on Friday may have contributed to my over all "out of it" feeling too, but damn if Friday night wasn't worth it.  It was a definite Rock Star evening.  Then there was a lot of bad dice for the rest of the weekend, including losing my league finals by playing like a complete muppet.  I missed out on getting tickets to the Buffy sing-a-long, then also missed the phone call about finding an extra ticket for me!  Toast wasn't nearly as fun as Xmortis (probably due to the lack of the hat) but it was nice to have people say "get the hell up on the stage!" when I came out to dance.

Monday was the last long Angel marathon day.  We finished off the fourth season, then  I tried going to Cerremony.  Eating nothing but dip, chips, tater tots and pizza (w/cider) all day long makes for a really upset stomach.  I made it about 45 minutes before I high tailed it home.  The lack of food and crabby mood left me in a bad place as i went to sleep, but I hung onto three words that helped remind me that all was not lost.

Erica.  DiAnna.  Lillian

This morning I found out that my hat was recovered and held in safe keeping for me.  My luck has begun to turn!

At least no one died (yet) in the compound in DND. :) Door spikes and delay poison and cure moderate potions are going on my shopping list. I also used up the most bullets in any session so far this weekend.

There was a good bit of luck there, indeed. I still remain convinced we can hold them at the door.

Unless, they try to bull rush past us and get behind us, in which case we are indeed screwed. Hopefully we've thinned out their numbers a bit to keep them from completing their nefarious scheme.
