That's a first.

Saturday was a mixed bag.  Attending the wedding was fine, people had a really good time, the bride and groom especially.  Decided that I wasn't ready to be more social, and ended up at Toast instead.  VI was inaccessible due to my parking street being blocked, and the roadways choked with cars and spedestrians.  Sunday was pretty much a wasted day.  I did finish watching Layer Cake, which was a fine movie.

Things are still not qutie right.

Today put a lot of that in perspective though, since I was hit by a bicyclist crossing the street to get to my lunch.  He wiggled his wheel back and forth, I froze because I didn't know where he was going, and BAM.  No serious injuries to report, and we went on our way.

Maybe he knocked some sense into me.

yikes!

Agreed. Another reason bikes are better than cars :)

Did you ninja kick him in the head?!

Nah, he looked all shocked. I was waiting for him to give me grief, but hey: I was in the crosswalk, and had the right of way. and he plowed into me! We confirmed we were OK, and continued on our merry ways.

You should've kicked his ass. I HATE cyclists who don't stop for pedestrians in crosswalks. At least get into a verbal fight with him next time.

Can do!

I could be worst. I got knocked flat, but my shoulders took the brunt of the impact and the fall.

That self same thing almost happend to me the other day.
What made it worse is that the cyclist would have hit my daytime charge, Miss N, as she was in the stroller I was pushing. The lame ass didn't even pause to say he was sorry for almost hitting a baby!

You know, most cyclists I see out on the road are self entitled pricks. I know a lot of my friends bike and all, but to me it's like cyclist are trying to make up for their lack of protection with attitude.

I know, I'm generalizing. Whatever. Anyone on a vehicle needs to respect the rules of the road. Something I'll keep in mind next year, when I become one of those self entited pricks. :)
