the illness that just won't go away

Still feeling tired and run down after yesterday.  It could just be that general everyday exhaustion, that hits between two and four, which renders me dead to the world.  Either way, it makes work a chore.  Hell, it makes being conscious a chore.  I'll have to get back into my apple habit.  As habits go, that's one I don't mind continuing.

Tonight looks like goodbye drinks with a co-worker, then hopefully dinner with an old friend.  More situps, then sleep.  The elusive state that so many of us are seeking these days, but so few of us can find.

What's the apple habit, just eating an apple in the afternoon? An apple martini? I still fall asleep around that time every afternoon.

The first one. Having the apple gives a nice sugar rush for about an hour, gets me over the hump.

The train always knocks me out, but I don't bother fighting that.

That mid afternoon slump has been hitting me _hard_ the last few days.

I hear ya. It makes everything so much more difficult to work through, or think on.
