like Indy running ahead of the boulder...

gotta write this out before the food coma hits.

Friday night I gathered up sangria fixing and zipped over to Couplingchaos' pad for some tasty fajitas and sangria (sangria courtesy of yours truly).  There was an eclectic group of attendees, who all managed to mix together and have a blast.  Some folks headed out to steer roast, but I headed back to bed.

Saturday Jim's dwarves took their revenge on my Skaven.  A best of three is definitely called for.  Laundry was accomplished, along with more painting and movies.  Then it was off to Toast for a very fun night of dancing and musical requests (Go Weeeeest!) and excellent company.

Sunday.  Food shopping, and painting out on the back porch.  Cool breezes, warm sun, and a paint brush.  I could get used to this.  I wrapped up the day with our bi-weekly DND game (apologies to those I missed at the cookout) and an extremely encouraging reading from my roommate.

Another week of work lies in front of me, but at the end... the Days of Dice and Latex.  It will be on!

There.  Entry finished.  Cue food coma in 3...2..

i suspect one should go to auctions BEFORE wine, since you don't know what you'll end up with if you do them in reverse order.

Remind me when we are meeting for wine.

Jim won? Wow, looked like things were going well last I stopped by your game. It looked like you were having fun though.

I managed to defeat Tony, but Joe's Russians pulled off a win. Course if Joe's Russians "win" any more games like that, he won't have any troops left.

At least he's being historically accurate. ;)

The were going well, until some well aimed stone throwers squashed both my remaining clanrat blocks. Hello panic tests, good bye army.

I'll get him next time!

Randomly...

Have you seen this (http://ewight.blogspot.com/2006/05/caught-in-fray.html)?

I have the graphic novel.

It's pretty coolk, talking about the extreme future of the Buffy universe. That "scythe" she pulls out of the rock at the end of the 7th season was first seen in this series, which was released before the 7th season aired.

When I saw it on TV, I had one of those Fanboy moment. :)

Hee, I didn't mean Mel...I mean picture specifically. It was done by the guy who did the character design on the now defunct Buffy Cartoon.
