jchrisobrien: (big trouble!)

believe it or not

Going home early and resting up seems to have helped push back the flu-like symptoms I've had.  No gym though, I didn't want to tax myself, nor did I want to lift less that I usually can and beat myself up about it.  I picked up dinner, which included a perfectly cooked steak (it was soooo good, almost as tender as filet mignon), then had lemon ginger honey tea and watched Constantine with water_childe.  My interrupted sleep occured again.  I suspect now that my pillows are to blame.  Both of them feel more like rolled up socks stuffed in a bag than actual pillows.  The back of my neck feels like someone punched it.  This mandates a stop in Porter Sq. to invest in a couple of awesome pillows.  I wonder if I'd be better off in Downtown Crossing?

-laughs-

Huh. Not entirely sure where in Porter Sq. would sell pillows... I definitely know that Macy's in DTC does, though.

There's a bed bath and beyond there, if DTC let's me down, I'll try that.

Ah! I did not know that. I know there's a Pier1, and then a TAGs - and then a Gap or something along with several cool little asian markets and a sporting goods store a little down the way.

Bed Bath and Beyond generally has a good assortment of pillows--there's one in the Fenway theatre building, I'm not sure where more convenient ones might be... Macy's downtown has a decent assortment too.

The last time I bought a pillow I spent about $50 on it, which seemed ridiculous for a pillow, but I'm glad I did. There's a noticable difference between a good pillow and a cheap pillow. Plus a good pillow won't have to be replaced as often so it probably works out about the same in the end anyway.

There's one in Porter, which is nice and convenient.

I've had the same pillow for so long, I don't even want to think about it

But you haven't lived that long! :P

Yes I have :p Nearly a quarter century is pretty old for a pillow.
Wish I had any clue where it had come from so I could get another when it finally does give out.
