jchrisobrien: (big trouble!)

Just the same thing I always see when I close my eyes.

The early part of the night had superhero dreams (superman and the punisher?  lame!), while the later part was a return to zombie land.

Picture this:  You're part of a room full of people.  The rest of them have various makeshift weapons, but you have an ice pick.  You're practicing moving from room to room, looking for lurking zombies.  One of the bursts out from behind a curtain, and you take it out with a well placed thrust to the eye.  A woman berates the room for not paying better attention.  "All it takes is one bite and we'll be doing to you what [the dreamer] did to that."  She kicks the body, then we all walk out of the room.

Later, you're "practicing" in the courtyard.  Practice consists of you holding an intricate looking machete and squaring off against a dozen or so zombies.  It's harder than you think to actually decapitate someone.  It's not imposssible.  Things start to get a little hairy, then your friends step in to assist you.

Alarms start going off, zombies are at the fence, but not just people.  Zombie animals, and other strange hybrid faster than normal creatures.
This sucks.  A few of the bigger ones throw themselves against the fence, shorting it out, so the other zombies can tear it open, and come racing across the grounds towards us.  Two of your friends are arguing that this is just impossible (not to mention completely unfair)  "Talk while you run, ladies!" you shout as you high tail it past them.  We have to abandon the base, fortunately we have a train ready to go... that is, if we can get it running.  You finish loading shells into your shotgun, man and window, and raise your rifle... as the dream ends.

In the future, zombie dreams will be a brand new class of nightmare, right up there with crumbling teeth and standing naked in the middle of a classroom.  In the now, they are just a pain in my... brain.

Hehehehehehe, when those types of dreams hit, I do my standard. I start pulling in things that were not there before and making up my own rules.

Nothing for it. Time to break out the 'boom stick'.

Good Silas, bad Silas, I'm the one with the gun.
