Culinary delights and cinematic nights

In the increased rush of work, I haven't had time to talk about the finer points of the past few days.  Monday night I caught up with Couplingchaos over pork grilled in shallots and garlic and couscous.  Downtime is something we rarely get to share, and it was great catching up on both our sides.
Last night was baked salmon with a rasperry sauce and white asparagus at the Canadian Embassy, where Cris, SilentQ and I had a rollicking globe-trotting conversation that covered regional dialects in China, the "joys" of immigrating into the U.S., whether Serenity was a bad movie or just a victim of a niche market, and what bodes for our character's future in our DND campaign.
The night was topped off with more wine and a really, really bad movie called the Sisterhood.  I picked the film to watch, but I wasn't the one responsible for renting it.  Picture a low budget re-make of The Craft, with cuter actresses and lots of soft core porn.  I mean, really soft.  Soft serve soft.  Like, just kissing in your under pants.  That's weak tea, folks.  Still, it's not the movie that makes the night, it's the company.  I watch these films so you don't have to!  You can thank me later.
Apparantly, my dreams are back on track now, because I've been upgraded from FBI exorcist to the head of a high tech unit that hunts Predators and shapeshifters.  Less X-Files, more Storm Watch.  It beats losing your teeth, that's for sure.

Chelsea has had similar problems sending mail to that account. You can also try jchrisobrien@gmail.com if it keeps bouncing.

My account may be acting funny, too, as an email to a friend of mine hasn't gone through to him all day...

I wish that you dad watched it so that I didn' have to.

Do you know that there was a previous version called
"The Brotherhood"

It was rated 1 whole star higher than the sisterhood.

3.4 instead of 2.4

Here's an excerpt from the review:
"First, it's a teen vampire flick set in Southern California (as in the Buffy oevure). Second, it's an excuse to have attractive males run around in designer boxer/briefs."

I think it's only fair that we watch that too, so you can watch enjoy the fellas.
