Laugh, you bastards
The day begins the night before, when I get the bad news at the club. There were some fun moments that night, but everything started going off kilter. The night ended with me being pretty much made a fool of.
Cut to the next morning. Tired, hung over, start up my computer... and it crashes. Hard. No safe mode, nada. I try starting up the "new" computer I had, but it wants to register windows, and can't get a connection because the wireless card isn't initialized. Tried phoning it in. Wouldn't accept the number.
I misplace my wallet.
I find my wallet.
I carry my computer outside to the bus. I miss two buses. I wait 40 minutes for the next bus, and take it to Harvard because I don't want to carry the computer to Alewife. I get down to the T in Porter. Two out of commission trains pass by before one accepts passangers. I get out of the T at Downtown Crossing, and fine my keys are missing. Gone. No access to my office. My apartment. My car.
I T back to Alewife, wait 20 minutes for a bus. I carry my computer back from Alewife to my apartment. I check at the Midas shop to see if anyone turned in my keys.
Someone did.
They took my USB drive on my keychain, but that is inconsequential.
I did all of this with no food, hungover. I was a complete wreck. I come home and freak out my roommate. I apologize, make some food, drink a lot of water, and drive back into town
Traffic sucked.
Two hours later at work, I've fixed my "new" computer.
I come home, order sushi, because I really need a treat.
The sushi was tasty, but doesn't quite agree with me. I get sick.
Looking back at it all, it's not a serious problem. Just a string of aggrivations. Some people might even call it funny, because other people's misfortunes are high comedy. So read it and laugh, kids.
Was I looking forward to this weekend? Not any more. I was supposed to go out tonight, but since every decision that I made today has been BAD, I'm staying home. I'd be vile company anyhow.
