On a different note: Housing notice

Are you looking for a place to live?  Do you know people who are looking?  The apartment upstairs from my house will be on the market in August, and I'd very much like for cool people to move in upstairs (or at least, people that I know!  Only you can decide how cool you are).  It would be the third floor, a 2/3 bedroom apt (ideally 2 + a study), kitchen, dining room, living room, walk through pantry, small back porch (deck).  Rent was $1100/mo I believe (quite a steal for the size!)  If you've been to my apartment, the layout is identical.
There is no basement storage or washing machine, but you are 12 minutes walk away from Alewife, and right on 3 bus stops (2 go to Alewife, 1 goes to Harvard).

If you know of anyone who is interested, drop me a comment or grab me when you see me out somtime.  You can also call or e-mail me (if you need that info, comment here as well.

also a free couch could come with it, if the new tenants want it! :)

Ping [livejournal.com profile] sjc. I know he's looking for something. Don't know if it fits what he's looking for, but it's worth a shot. :)

I'll see if I can track him down, thanks!

I gave him the low-down already and referred him to you for further information, but that was a couple-few weeks ago, so he may have forgotten.

Are the landlords looking to rent it August 1 or September 1? I know someone who's apt hunting, and this might be perfect for him.

Also, what's parking like? And there's a bathtub, right?

I'm assuming August 1st, but I can check into that. There is a bathtub, and parking would be in the driveway, enough for 4 cars (3 are here currently, with 1 leaving)

does it include utilities?

It includes hot water only.
We pay the others. Both buildings are oil heated.

jack and i actually might be interested in this, depending on how much we'd be saving and how soon we'd have to move (couldn't be any sooner than aug 15). any idea what the average winter vs. summer bill is? and is there a hookup for a washing machine anywhere in the building? i actually own one.

[identity profile] silas7.livejournal.com 2005-07-07 01:08 pm (UTC)(link)
the average winter bill for us was around $250 more. I didn't notice any hookups for a washing machine, but there was a dryer hookup in our apartment. I can ask the landlords about washer hookups.
