NOW I'm singing in the rain

It could very well be that I function better on less sleep than more.  Last night I braved the chilly winds and pouring rain to roll some dice with friends, and then trip and glide across the dance floor.  I got a good one or two hours of less sleep.  The walk to the bus stop was less dead and dreary than the other days.  The sidewalk was strewn with leave and branches.  A parting gift from last night's nor'easter.  Perhaps that's part of the change too.  The weak and snively rain of the past two days finally blustered and roared.  The weather stopped being a weak hand, uncertain, tugging at your sleeve.  It grabbed you arm, spun you around, and stared you in the eye and gave you that little lurch in your belly, that lightning spark.  It may rain  and be gray for the rest of the week, but the spell this miserable weather has cast over me has been broken.

On the ride home last night, there was a cop and tree workers on Rte. 16....a tree had almost been completely dismantled! I swear...it's like a cold hurricane. My umbrella became useless last night too....it kept turining inside out lol.

There were broken branches all along the highways on the way to and from the club. It was spooky, because when I was indoors the weather didn't seem that severe.

When I was walking to my car last night I had to hold on to a pole so I wouldn't blow away!! Surfs up!!

More downed trees out here when I woke up this morning. And the neighborhood is all 2 to 300 year old oaks. That was indeed one hell of a storm.

Also, I'm not ignoring you, AIM won't let me reply back for some reason :/

no worries, I was off to bed anyhow. You can IM me at the club. We can pass napkins back and forth. Analog IMing!
