Wow.

The evening started as soon as I got home from work. Literally. M&T waited for me to change, then we made our way to Central for the traditional pre-club Angel viewing. A small gathering occurred, in which much (surprise) tasty sushi was eaten, a surprise present was revealed (Angel season 2 DVD), and birthday ciders were consumed during the episode.

What followed was a packed night of dancing, drinking, and talking that repeated over many cycles, getting better and better with each repetition. I borrowed dancing mojo from people right and left, and fed it back out again. I danced to my requests, and to several surprise songs that were just perfect for the night.

The biggest and best surprise of the night was that the birthday evening completely shattered the bad week I was having. All the work angst and malaise evaporated, leaving me jubilant and energetic and loved.

Thanks to everyone who showed up last night and plied me full of food, drink, and tunes. You are the nigiri on my rice.
You are the rum in my coke. You are the music in my ears and the rhythm in my blood.

So, who's ready to do this all again on Saturday?

I wouldn't say I got EVERYthing I wanted, but I couldn't have asked for more that night. Sushi, angel, dancing, drinking, a little kissing... It was blissful.
