On a lighter, tastier note

Yet another reason I like my job.

I've discovered that I have quite a taste for veggie burgers, and they are both healthy and easy to prepare in a microwave. I brought my burgers and cheese to work, but wait! There are no buns! I am bun-less! This was quickly remedied by the discovery of a market basket within a few minutes walking distance of my office. So off I went. It's so gratifying to know that if I ever forget my lunch, tasty goodness is so close by.

The buildings near where I work are all very low to the ground, some aren't even as high as the trees. It really feels like you are on top of a mountain, because all you can see around you is warm, welcoming sky. I expect any moment to just lift off and drift into the sky. Love it.

Love is also due to the Tranceport CD I'm listening too, and these incredibly delicious spicy black bean burgers with Swiss cheese on potato rolls.

I shouldn't be allowed to have this much fun with my mouth.

soooooooooooooooo delicious.
I'm going to become addicted to those spicy black bean ones. I should look at the other styles that Morningstar Farms makes.

Interesting! I'll see what I can track down. Thanks for the suggestions :)

hey, maybe I can make some of those marinated red peppers for toppings. The good times just keep coming!

Speaking about culinary matters, I had my first sushi dinner on Monday since being unemployed. :)

The spicy black bean are the best. :) Though the tomato-basil-pizzaburger ones are a very close second. :)

mmmmmm so many tasty new treats to try for lunch!
Let me know what your nights are like for dinner, too.

I made "use up the last veggies in the fridge" soup last night before having a veggie burger and ran out of room. Tomorrow the spicy black bean goodness shall be mine! :)
I'm free for dinner tonight, next Tuesday, and then going into the week after, probably Tuesday again.

I beg to differ...

... you actually have very nice buns!

heh heh heh. Thanks!

So... where are you again? I'm about 10 minutes from the Market Basket myself, very convenient. Are you in one of the parks right off of rt 110?

[identity profile] silas7.livejournal.com 2003-09-11 11:18 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, actually. I'm at 5 Carlisle Rd.

[identity profile] scrabonia.livejournal.com 2003-09-11 11:34 am (UTC)(link)
hrm, I don't know where that one is off hand. Which way do you go after 495?

[identity profile] silas7.livejournal.com 2003-09-11 11:59 am (UTC)(link)
when taking 495 N, I get off at Exit 32 to Westford. I turn right at the bottom of the ramp, then proceed straight through the light. I make a right just after the pharmacy onto 5 Carlisle Road.

Cool, so kind of across from the plaza with "printing solutions" in it? haha, that's so funny, my office isn't even a mile from there! I'm right on the other side of the market basket on the other side of 110.

[identity profile] silas7.livejournal.com 2003-09-11 01:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Hah, what building is it?
I'll come outside during lunch and wave tomorrow, or something. :)

[identity profile] scrabonia.livejournal.com 2003-09-11 04:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Heh, the building behind the geraniums after chillies. We're riiight under the powerlines. I'll send a wave back! ;)

Oh, I miss my Tranceport CD! I have the case, but the cd itself disappeared :(.

On the food note, also check out Quorn patties. They're fake chicken patties made with mushroom protein, and they are super-tasty! Good with barbecue sauce, or honeymustard, or just ketchup. I had one for lunch today myself.

[identity profile] silas7.livejournal.com 2003-09-11 03:34 pm (UTC)(link)
mushrooms! mmmmmmmm.
My lunches are going to be fabulous.
Here's hoping the job will continue to pan out.
I'll find out tomorrow.

Oh I HATE that! My Wish cd did that :(

It sounds like an amazing place to work :) The bean burgers sound pretty good too...
