One platter of sushi, plus extras: $125 Two bottles of Korbel champagne: $28 Watching the end of seven great years of vampire slayer action with friends: PRICELESS
what are your thoughts on the finale? i think i have to watch it again lol i think i missed something... and i hate to say that cuz i adore(d?) buffy..
One of my favorite moments was when Willow said, after collapsing, "that was nifty!" in such a classic Willow way. Such a small exclaimation signaled so much healing and rightness within her :-)
I really wish it had been a two-hour finale.
Also I wonder if all the talk about James Marsters being signed on to Angel was just a passel of lies, and if not, how he gets to come back. And if he does, will the show Angel become one big brooding vampire catfight? And if so, one can only follow Buffy's line of thinking and hope for oil ;-)
I can say that I felt very let down with the final episode last night. But the more I think it over, the more I feel like it was well thought out and appropriate. The episode was all about Buffy which is disappointing to everyone who likes the scoobies better than the lead.
In the end, Buffy gets what she has always wanted. To be like everyone else. To be rid of the calling to be the chosen one. The gang can now live their lives like ordinary (non-slayer) people without the burden of saving the world every week. She get's to become the person she is meant to be. Heck, maybe she can even have a stable relationship with someone...who isn't dead.
