One stumble does not a fall make
Dec. 21st, 2012 04:18 pmMore bite sized bits of life. Friday's Xmortis exhibited some excellent pool games between Sara and I. Left the club in an awesome mood. Saturday I hit up Christmas parties in Watertown and South Boston, before kidnapping Johanna off to Sin-O-Matic with me. My favorite bartender wasn't there, but my favorite dancer was! In between bouts of furious dancing, was some nice conversations with Drake and others. Monday night was the stumble.
I just came off a very frustrating Warhammer game, and was still tired and out of it from the weekend. I couldn't get my social groove on, nor could I manage conversation, so the evening went quietly downhill. Wednesday was the TCB Holiday party. They had cider this year, which was a very nice touch. The food was a bit substandard, but this year was considerably less awkward than last year. I stepped up my Kareoke game this year with some Poison and Rick Astley (yes, I rick rolled our company). I also sang backup on Bon Jovi, Lady Gaga, and Sir Mix A Lot. It was only because I was in such a fearsome good mood that I braved going out to Temple. I left that night in as good a mood as when I entered. There's really no good reason every night shouldn't be as good as that. Something new to work on in the coming year.
Today is the end of the Mayan calendar. We are at the start of an entirely new cycle in history. That's pretty exciting, don'tcha think?
