Torchwood on Tuesday with Tricia was great. The new Torchwood, is falling a little flat.
Our Fantasia movie was Burke and Hale, a quality film with excellent timing. It's loosely based on the Burke and Hale murders in Edinborough in th 1820's, fans of Simon Pegg and Andy Serkis should check it out!
Excess and Xmortis were both very successful nights, socially and dance-wise. Very much what I needed.
Saturday I was tabled in my league game against a player who almost never loses. The rest of the weekend was spent alone, painting up models and listening to podcasts and cleaning the apartment so my roommate could return to a nice place.
I had weird zombie dreams last night, weird in that I had the power to explode the zombies (with my mind!) and, as the zombies were swarming the building, I was able to teleport everyone inside out, then convert the entire house to energy and blow the crap out of all the zombies, and likely most of the town. I didn't think I hated Manchester that much, haha.
Wildfire is locked in. Unlike past years, I'm only taking half a day off on Friday, and no time on Monday. I'm trying to have no expectations for this trip; Wildfire is often a notoriously bad time. This will be my first August Wildfire, and I've given myself permission to bolt if Things Go South. Here's for not giving into fear and taking control.
Despirte the crazy dreams and sleeplessness, I made it to work early and was mostly awake most of the day. Perhaps there will be THUD, perhaps I'll buy someone a birthday card.
