It's June already?
Jun. 8th, 2011 05:18 pmMany things have been going on. Good things.
5/28 - I attend a Carolina style BBQ in Salem. Mountains of succulet pork, extra cruelty fueled lobster, Four Loco and fire spinning. I meet a new friend, much flirtation, and numbers exchanged.
5/29 - Our yearly cookout. For the first time in ages, I buy too much sangria. Lots of familiar faces were absent, but many were there. Another new friend takes the train up from NYC, and I finally shut down the party with my roommate around three. Victory!
5/30 - Clean up, recovery, more grilling and sangria. Lisa and Sara and I see Kung Fun Panda 2, it's full of furious awesomeness.
6/1 - The ultimate Deadlands game becomes the penultimate one, as we can't conclude the big battle in time.
6/2 - Trip to Akron part 2. Much easier time of it the first day, I leave at six as opposed to eleven. Tasty shrimp and scallops and risotto for dinner, along with two caramel martinis. I stop in at a night club for a while, until the sheer number of college kids sends me back to my hotel.
6/3 - 2nd day in Akron. Trouble emerges as I find out the lab router is still in bridge mode, so half the computers aren't getting internet access! I fix it, but not elegantly, and fly on back to Boston in time for an evening cocktail party. I've never flown into Boston during the day, and it's amazing flying over the city when you can actually see things. There's 93! There's Cambridge! There's my house!
6/4 - Grilling and Warhammer at my apartment. We set up a table on the back porch and push our little plastic men around in the sunshine and fresh air. No miniatures were lost to high winds.
6/5 - DND occurs, we finish off one quest and begin our travels through the Underdark. I catch up on Doctor Who and Game of Thrones.
6/6 - After a geeky weekend, I begin the socail whirlwind at Ceremony with Down With Tempo. An excellent tarot reading, but a slightly off putting night.
6/7 - X-Men First Class was excellent, but I want to see it again at a better theater. This one is a definite purchase. Also dropped my leather outfit off for dry cleaning and repairs. Dry cleaning is expensive, kids!
Look at that. That's a respectable stretch of goodness over two weeks. Tonight there will be push jerks and Excess. Time to take the neoprine out to play!
