Training pays off
Feb. 18th, 2011 04:18 pmXmortis was an awesome time, mostly spent playing pool, but in great spirits.
Saturday was the yearly Chinese New Year dinner. Another extremely jovial night that ended too soon.
Sunday Sara and I drove to the Fetish Flea in Providence. I bought one vest, one shirt, and one set of pants from La Chateau, the company where Sara gets most of her corsets. The fetish community is generally old, surprisingly diverse, and deeply honest. It's the kind of thing that deserves its own deep post, instead of my weekly wrap up.
Monday I failed to buy my Valentine's treat for myself, but all the hugs and comments and smiles regarding my vest more than made up for that.
Tuesday work put me in a deep funk, compounded by having dinner delayed at home which tanked my mood. Things picked up noticeably when I finally ate.
Wednesday there was a belated birthday party, and I discover hip is "not so bad" to listen to if the rest of the environment is good.
Thursday my Deadlands group confounded my efforts to take them all prisoner, but then decided to go where I wanted them to anyhow. I'll call that a win.
Friday is the second day of an uncharacteristic warm snap, which is melting the hell out of the snow, which makes me a happy panda. Socially the past week was full of win. My brain is getting stronger every day. Tonight there will be a housewarming party with lots of new faces, and tomorrow night the Post Mortem Valentine Madness party. There will be more new clothes, and sweet drinks. Anything else is gravy.
