stuff of note!
Sep. 22nd, 2010 02:50 pmLast week I went to Hooters for the first time in my life for Forest's birthday. Our eclectic masses quickly overwhelmed the side room we were in, making for one of the weirdest nights for the Hooters staff they've had in some time, I'm sure. I ended the night finishing off Metalocalypse, playing Rock Band, and watching a documentary about a photagrapher of modern architecture. Very interesting styles, somewhat surreal at two in the morning.
Breakfast at Soundbites followed after that, we were in and out before the time ran out on the meter. That never would have happened before, when Soundbites was just a hole in the wall. The food's still as good as even, though. A flurry of painting followed, then Sin-O-Matic in the evening. I think I've identified a patter and point in when the evening starts to go south. Overall, the night was a lot of fun. There are ways to improve that, which I'm looking forward to trying.
Most of my time has been absorbed by painting and preparation for the Crossroads GT on Friday. I still managed to get in a Mage session, and a delicious wine tasting on top of all that. The artistic madness will continue for the next few days, then I can relax next week. Despite the grogginess of this morning, and the impending food coma, I am pretty happy with the state of things at this time.
