My weekend didn't disappoint. It started with dinner at a pub with Lipika, then ventured into the MFA for a good walkaround in the Japanese exhibits, the coutyard for some yuppie music and wine (James Taylor, Bruce Springstein), the back through a fashion photography exhibit and the Impressionists. We sat in a room with a statue of Psyche, and as Lipika whispered the story of Psyche and Cupid in my ear... I felt myself getting nauseous. Literally. Nausea, lightheadedness, and lots of pressure. We made it outside and cabbed it back to her place without any revolting accident. One antiacid later, we finished off the night at my house with Rock Band and Metalocalypse.
Saturday I picked up another shelf for my office, restocked the vodka section of our liquor cabinet, and grabbed a couple of shirts for work. Mathew was my co-pilot, and it was great catching up with him and working our brains a bit. I tried re-arranging the living room in hopes of getting rid of our black couch, but none of the new layouts excited me. The big futon pillow didn't look as nice as I hoped it would. I cleared out a lot of old paper and junk, which was a plus. The time soon rolled around for Sarah P's birthday party (we achieved Chris-mass: five Chris's in one room), a tour of Sin-O-Matic, and back to Heroes for more dancing, pool, and random flirting.
Sunday: Staying up way too late found me almost missing our DND game. I made it through game as best I could, then went home for more Metalocalypse viewing. Lippy and I are down to about one more disc. I planned on going to bed early Monday, but the evening got away from me. Lucky me, I got to sleep in this morning.
Things are good right now. I mean, they are weird and strange, but also very good. Something worth talking about more, once I've caught up on my sleep.
