Xmortis wasn't quite the extra cold space capsule that was advertised, and there were fewer of my friends out than expected. This did not stop the evening from being filled with awesome music and vigorous dancing. My back didn't complain a bit, so I'd wager things are on the mend. I got to chat with DJ Shivar a lot near the end of the night, and a possible trip to New Orleans around Halloween may be in the works.

Saturday's adventure into 8th edition Warhammer was shelved due to excessive recovery time, and the fact that a cookout started earlier than I remembered. The ferocious rainstorm that we had was also a welcome distraction, my gaming friends wouldn't take kindly to be stripping down to my shorts and sandals and running around in the rain for twenty minutes. The big rainstorm scared away a lot of people from the cookout, but eventually honey glazed curry chicken was grilled, and much delicious sangria was consumed. I drove home to get my card set, since most of our poker group was there. What followed was a large, well lubricated, and riotous game of poker with several new players. Players drifted in and out, huge piles of chips were exchanged, and eventually there was dancing in the kitchen. That is how you have a hose cooling!

Sunday our DND group met at my house, where we made a lot of progress on our latest quest. We may have made too much progress, as we stumbled upon the Big Bad when we are low on resources. It's a good thing I have a few character concepts bouncing around.

Yesterday, today, I'm very tired. One more night of rest should catch me up to normal. Thursday we are off to Montreal, for Fantasia 2010. The awesomness will be legendary!
