Arabian Nights at Xmorts: a difficult time at first since I had a terrible snius headache, or maybe my body was just too full of tree pollen. The arrival of some old and new friends helped me focus on other things (rather than my raging temples). I managed to have a good night in the end.

Saturday was all about making liquor and food runs in preparation for Memorial Day awesomeness. I also made it to two birthday parties, and had a blast at both of them.

What can I say about the cookout? Our house overflowed with people, from all different facets of my life. I made two sangria recipies this year, and both of them were tremendous hits. I kept my wits about me enough to pick up as I went, so the final cleanup wasn't a disaster. Some of the Rock Band playing WAS disastrous, but I think my roommate and I acquitted ourselves quite nicely.

Monday night I made it back to Spin Jam for the first time in months. Lots of new faces around, but fortunately some old ones as well.

Tuesday at long last, the foot appointment: Platar Fascitis (big shocker) is the official verdict. I got an antibiotic shot, a stretch I need to do a lot, and an order to buy some Super Feet inserts for my shoes. This should help keep the pain under control, so I may be able to run again.

Work software upgrades are eating up most of my time at work, but I managed to make it out to Laced for another mostly good time. Some weirdness from a new woman, which is fine with me. I can deal with less weird people in my life as time goes on. Not quite in the dancing mood, my body has been off for the past few weeks, healing from torn muscles and headaches and lack of sleep.

After two nights of extreme lack ofsleep, I went to bed at eight at night and slept about twelve hours. I am more or less back on regular schedule.

Friday is here: My legs and arms have stopped hurting. My head is not pounding. My body is rested. I have a weekend with nothing to do until Sunday afternoon, and I'm very happy for that. I could have been at Wildfire, but I won't regret my decision. I will enjoy whatever comes my way this weekend.
