Friday - Made my way over to a fire spinning party, arrived in time to safety for (and extinguish) a few people. None of the burns were major, but it was the most I'd had to put people out ever. The fire department came shortly after to shut the fire spinning quotient down. It was a very good time, highlighted by an extended period of snuggling in a futon (the Ghost of the Magical Papasan strikes again!). The fun didn't stop at home, as there was some Rock Band playing and more drinking Sara and Seth until about 4:30 or so.
Saturday - A nice day was taken up with errands and shopping. I went to a fine dinner party later that night. The food was delicious, so much so that my desert was barely touched. There were card games both amusing and addicting. I think I've seriously hooked a number of you on the poker bug. I topped off the night with some clubbing at No Tomrrow. It took a while, but I managed to catch the dubstep groove. The techno in the other room wasn't grabbing me, but I was possessed of a serious tiredness (Crossfit plus mega-dinner) but left on a high note.
Sunday - Too much lollygagging in the morning measn I only barely made it to DND on time (lackign sufficient breakfast OR hydration). There were further problems as my lunch order was garbled, and we ended up with FOUR orders of General Gau's instead of a FULL order. We refused to pay for the extra, so several of the other players ended up with free lunch for the next day. Game itself was fun, but I worry about excessive alignment based arguments in the future. I like my games a little more drama free than I did in the past (Psst! That's a sign of getting old!)
Today is Monday. I'm not packed or prepped for Spin Jam, but the warm weather is inspiring me to practice more, and the fun times at the party encourage me to get out and play again. The weather has given me a taste for spring, and I can already feel my body starting to wake up. This bodes well.
