So, what happened this weekend?
Mar. 1st, 2010 05:00 pmFriday - trip to Natick to visit my old friend Tegin. We watched the Olympics, played some poker, and utterly failed at Rock Band. I blame the faulty controllers, so much so that I had to fire it up and play the same song at home to prove it wasn't my fault!
Saturday - slow day. Crossfit, some Warhammer at Allan's house (was way outmatched), the back home just in time for Poker Night. We filled the house with two tables of games. Michael was smashingly dressed as a river boat gambler, I think I may require fancy dress (especially spy or cowboy themed) for the next event. I also ended up with a royal flush, the absolute rarest and highest possible hand in the game. Photographic evidence can be found on Facebook. Getting that hand pretty much uses up all my luck for the rest of my life, but so be it.
Sunday - slower day. It started out with a walk to the store for groceries (some bread and eggs to go along with my bacon) and turned into a Sarah Conner Chronicles marathon for the rest of the day. Another fine show canceled before its time so that the networks can show more reality and CSI spin offs. Sigh.
Today was a decent day for getting things done. Tonight there will be socialzing and Down With Tempo. I might actually dance. I don't think I've been dancing once this year yet. How sad is that?
PS - I am grateful for being dealt the royal flush, for maple bacon, and for piping hot rolls with my lunch today. Also, I'm grateful that March is here. Two more weeks until Daylight Savings Time!
