That morning chill
Sep. 8th, 2009 01:48 pmThe morning air is starting to get that cold edge in the morning. It would be a blessing if it held out for another month, then I'll gladly pile on the sweaters and wool socks.
Friday night's Rock Band session started later than I thought ,but lasted until the wee hours of the night. I ventured into expert territory on some of the songs, which definitely kept things interesting.
Saturday I got some practice in for the Crossroads tournament, and cleaned up for the cookout. Kelly and I hung out after her shift ended, I introduced her to the awesomeness that is Hot Fuzz. I dropped her off, then hit Underworld for a little late night dancing. I ran into Mark and Anna, and reminded them about the cookout.
Sunday was given over to sleeping in, Crossfit, and party prep. I think the party shut down around 3:30 or 4:30 (early for us), but there was no shortage of good times. There was a bit of a commotion with a departing guest and a motorcycle accident, but I learned that everyone involved was ultimately OK. The police didn't knock of the door, and the rest of the evening went smoothly.
Monday: MORE cleaning, plus Crossfit, plus the afternoon DND game led to an utterly exhausted me. I napped a bit a home, then threw on a white dress shirt and drove out to Ceremony. This month's Tarot reading was "meh" at best, a lot of old mental muck has been stirred up and requires sorting out. I pushed most of that aside and enjoyed the music and company. There were some great tunes, but my shoes were not well suited for dancing. An early night was called for, anyhow.
The weekend was an overall success, but I do need to get some mental work done, while issues are still up and moving.
