Much of the weekend was off kilter. Saturday the dice took a turn for the worse, and I was in a pretty bad heads pace, I'm not exactly sure what triggered it, but it was enough to keep me at home immersed in video games until 9:30 (Sorry about missing the cookout!).
Sin-O-Matic was a roller coaster of a time, and not in a good way. When you look forward to a night once a month, you don't want it to suck. It very nearly did, but that was mostly some nasty social anxiety kicking in. I was getting extremely angry about it, but had a few talks and made it through the night. Thank God for Rock Band because singing til you are hoarse is much better than venting on LJ at 2:30 in the morning. The lesson has been learned!
All the frustration of the rest of the weekend began to abate during Sunday clean up. The act of putting things away and bringing "order out of chaos" goes a long way towards balancing me. Does anyone else find that's true? My future wife will be glad to know I clean on regular basis, that's for sure. I also finished Resistance 2, then headed out for Star Trek with Diamondsea and Plankton. Photiq, Syprina, Annabelle, and Seisho were surprise guest stars at the show. Star Trek utterly, completely, rocked. Add a late night dinner in Chinatown to the showing (where there was no social anxiety at all), and you have a very happy ending to what could have been another turbulent weekend.
The end.
