Then I'm happy and sad for you
Feb. 8th, 2009 09:37 pmHere's a twist: a weekend recap while it's still the weekend!
I played my league quarter final game and was soundly defeated. Saturday I helped run a tournament in Waltham, but we had an uneven number of players. Matt and I took turns playing, I managed a win and a tie for my games. I wasn't happy with my league list, so I'm glad I could put it behind me and work on some new ideas.
Later that night I visited Johanna for her Day of Bar Crawling, then made it out to Underworld. Saying I had a bang up time would be an understatement! I danced hard during the night, especially when Nate played the Christian Bale song. Honestly, I had a hunch he would end up playing it at some point. I ran into Jess and Alisha from out west. They were both very happy to see me, which was very flattering and just the kind of thing I needed right then. God I love nights like that.
Sunday aka Recovery Day: I regret nothing! Our pirate game is approaching it's epic conclusion, complete with huge cinematic battles between ships and dragons and floating castles, and treachery! Speaking of that, I also saw the most recent BSG. I am sad. Very, very sad. I will say no more, but if you want to commiserate with me in private, feel free.
