On getting one's head on straight
Dec. 30th, 2008 04:48 pmThe funk from the nightmare continued all day long, despite persistent attempts to remove it. Plans to go out to spin jam didn't materialize either, so I just stayed home. Cookies and soup started elevating my mood, and since Sara was making a rare trip to Ceremony (on a non-Tarot night) I decided to get gussied up for the Snow Ball.
It was just what the doctor ordered.
The room was packed, even though a lot of familiar faces weren't there. Standout points of the night were Sam introducing me to her friend Christina, seeing Ruth back on the dance floor, and having many people petting my flame-grooved shirt. (Insert ribbed for your pleasure jokes here). There was a great mix of older and newer songs, and I was surprised to see so many people dancing during the last set! Add in some long conversations with friends old and new, and I can definitely end 2008 on a Up note for the clubs. I'm already eagerly awaiting Underworld on Saturday to start the year off right.
Now, to start researching my own end-of-the-year wrap up...
