Down with a sickness
Sep. 15th, 2008 01:59 pmXmorits was OK. Many of the usual suspects were missing, but there were a lot of new faces. I held down the fort on the pool table until my roommate arrived, and even danced a bit.
I got a little more practice in before the Crossroads (which is twelve days away), then picked up some meat for a cookout and housewarming. It turns out one of my old VTES playing buddies is one of the roommates. Worlds collide again. The cookout had a nice mix of people (except for the really loud obnoxious people in the kitchen but they left early on). I got to socialize more with some fire spinners I hadn't interacted much with, and had a much better time this time around. Fan ball is surprisingly amusing, and when was the last time you played Telephone at a party? Good times.
Sunday was quiet and muggy. I caught up on some painting and watched most of the series Hex. A supernatural, fairly racy series about witches and fallen angels and Nephilhim. Pretty intriguing, and some nice use of music (their theme song is #1crush by Garbage).
Now it's Monday, and somehow I have a cold. I also have an annoying user on the phone who can't get anything set up on his brand new computer. As soon as he's functional, I'm going home to crash.
