Xmortis had an interesting feel. With so man people out doing other things, it felt like meeting a whole new group of people, but w/out the usual awkwardness you feel entering a strange club. I shot a lot of pool, and must have be called "dapper" about a half dozen times. I can get used to that.
Saturday brought a draw on the Warhammer tables, then some time spent preparing a birthday dinner. Whole Foods is not the cheapest place to go to, but it's good to go all out for special friends. The paella I made came out pretty good, I have some ideas on how to improve on it for my next batch. All the cooks put on a good showing, though I took some time out for doing dishes during the post meal merriment. Sin-O-Matic was a no-go, due to being parked in by my upstairs neighbors. I managed to make the best of things, though.
Sunday I braved the ugly weather for our DND game. Fueled by good leftovers, we survived several harrowing encounters in a tomb (is there any other kind of adventures in a tomb?) to achieve our goal, and make it to our season cliffhanger.
Today, is one of those graceless slow and plodding days at work. On the plus side it's almost over. Hopefully I'll be able to get some dance on tonight to help kick start the week.
