catching up
Nov. 21st, 2007 11:57 pmFriday night - a very pleasant evening celebrating a friend's birthday: some candlepin bowling, funny hats, and rock star parking by the Milky Way.
Saturday - lackluster performance for my army and a small turnout for the tournament, but I walked away with Best Sportsman. Nice guys finish (almost) last (or first, depending on how you're counting). Spent some quality time hanging out with another friend, then danced up a storm at Machine. Possibly became a bit too blatant at night's end (for me, anyway).
Sunday - an abbreviated game of pirates, but some essential business got out of the way. The big haul is ready to begin.
Most of my vacation time was mostly wasted, but I did manage to accomplish the few goals I had: clean the house, shop for Thanksgiving. The time could have been better spent. But spent it is, and no use mourning it now. There is more time to be spent, more wisely. Kielbasa is not quite as tasty as I imagined it, and even pie must be eaten in moderation these days (which isn't a bad thing really). Some more financial hurdles coming up, but my main goal will be dealt with on schedule, whatever the cost.
We have a new home for poi, on Tuesday now, so that's a plus. First class back was frustrating, but that will change in time.
May you all have something to be thankful for, tomorrow.
