Moscow, we have liftoff!
Nov. 13th, 2007 01:07 pmXmortis started off slow, but grew more action packed as the night went on. Late night apple crisp was a nice topper to the evening. I got a lot of games in this weekend with my new army book, I'm liking the changes that were made and am looking forward to more fun at this weekend's tournament. Saturday night was by far, the highlight of the weekend. Matt Hare's housewarming had great food, and some familiar faces. As usual, different groups of people stayed in their orbits and didn't mix (that I saw). The unveiling of Guitar Hero began to cause some cross pollination, as I know I played one girl I didn't know. I managed the rather impressive feat of making most(all?) of a bottle of vanilla vodka disapperar. Creamsicles are so smooth they should be illegal. Strike that. The tequilla shots just kicked things into overdrive. The Buffy sing-along infected yet another party (not mine this time, for a change!) later there was dancing, then home for blissful sleep.
Sunday AND monday were given over to rest and relaxation. It occurs to me that with a long vacation coming up, I should put some structure into so I don't sloth my time away. Thanksgiving prep will take up some of that time, so I'm not too worried. In lieu of mu usual Monday plans I saw an advance showing of Battlestar Galactica: Razor. A made for TV movie that takes place shortly after the events of the Pegaus story arch, somewhere in the latter part of Season 2.5. For those of you who feel BSG has gotten too melodramatic, this is a great return to the war story/tense action episodes of earlier seasons. You get a lot of backstory and information about Admiral Caine, plus a new character that... well, I shoulnd't give any anything else. It's going to air in about two weeks, so I'll save all the surprises for you then. The extended, unedited DVD is released 12/4. I wish they'd get Season 3 out already!
I ended the night at Ceremony. I didn't feel too dancy, but I did enjoy watching people dance.
