A decent start

I was happy to help Sirendipity celebrate her birthday this year. It was fun time, despite her wet blanket neighbors!
Today I tried a game purely for fun against a friendly opponent. I was trounced pretty badly, but I saw some shortcomings in my list and I ddn't get mad at my dice. I think I learned a new rolling technique that produced some good results. It's the little superstitions that get us through the day.

After coming back from lunch post game my car wouldn't start. I fought down the urge to panic and called one of my gaming friends. His attempt at a jump start failed, so he called AAA. They came out and had me running in less than a minute! I'm immensely happy that I didn't have to replace a starter or anything else. I probably didn't close the door all the way or something. *knocks on hardwood floor* It's the little superstitions that get us through the day.

Came home and crashed, feeling very sniffly, perhaps from the pollen in the air. A long and potentially stressful week lies ahead, but it could be filled with fun too. Next weekend is looking more promising.

Early to bed

Another wasted morning. On the plus side, my car started OK. I just had a tune up at 60,000 miles, so I shouldn't need one at 70,000 miles.
Our DND game involved a dramatic capture of an airship, despite nearly scuttling in through our actions. I was very out of it, and didn't have much impact on the situation, other than helping other people do all the cool actions. Just not my day to be in the spotlight I guess.

I can't say I'm looking forward to this week at all. The sooner it gets to be Friday the better, I hope my mood improves before this Friday.
I double checked with JetBlue and our ticket money is non-refundable, so I can't back out of the tournament w/out losing $300. That's a shame.

Can I skip ahead to the 16th already? Thank you very much.
