Mission Accomplished?

Sin-O-Matic started out on rocky ground, over an hour to find a parking space, surrouded by hordes of Red Sox fans, a light incessant rain, and police that kept waving me away from my favorite parking area.  I did find a place eventually, but missed the cutoff for the discount admission.  Once inside, I discovered a vendor had his wares set up on the dance floor on the low block that I love to dance on!  What cheek!  Three songs and a vodka and red bull later, all was forgotten and the night began to rock.  It seems I just blinked my eyes and the club was filled with people, friends old and new.  I definitely leaned more on the spectrum of dancing than talking, but that was my plan at the start of the night, and I fulfilled that plan.  Now we reset the clock until June, and hopefully a night free of rain.  And ball games.

Sunday was filled with chores and errands.  There was food shopping, some errands, and assessing our supply of party goods.  I also donated a lot of items to Goodwill: my old amplifier and tape player, another all-in-on turnable and speakers, more speakers, a VCR, and a spare 19" monitor.  Next maybe I'll dig in and get rid of some of my trashier fantasy novels.  I've gotten rather good at removing all of the crap.  Maybe some of the comcis will go next, though I don't expect any major return on my investment.

REMINDER: Memorial Day cookout

The House of Sweet Wines will greet another summer with our traditional Memorial Day cookout. 

Date: Sunday, May 27
Time: 5:00 (or so)

There will be plenty of sangria and good eats for carnivores and herbivores.  (Omnivores, curiously, will be out of luck).  We will have deviled eggs, Dip, and chicken wings.  Please bring anything else you're keen on eating.  It's always a treat to see what kind of tasties you guys come up with. 

I know several of you will be across the country (or out of it), but our doors are open to you who remain.  Friends are welcome, just give me a heads up on who's coming.
