Last night, on the banks of a hill, by a wandering river, I spun fire for the first time.
A handful of folks drove out to Grafton, arriving just before the rain started. I only burned a few times, and didn't catch myself on fire. I used up all the techniques I learned, including the one I just learned on Monday and was getting frustrated by. Once I tried it with the real thing, it was much easier.
I love the sound the fire makes as it spins around your head and body. The trails that it leaves in the air. The light goes from white to orange to blue, when you see the blue you are nearing the end. I saw a lot of amazing moves, things I'm eager to try before I light up again. The rain persisted, but people continued to spin and play. I left early, but I'm already looking forward to the next time.
(I will need a fire icon soon)
