Every time I go to poi practice, I get one maneuver down that I learned the week before. This week the dam broke. My reverse figure eights were much smoother, and I picked up how to do a three beat reverse. I started alternating them to strengthen both, and the instructor was very impressed I was able to do it with both hands. Another asked me how I was doing it, and I did my best to show him. When I told him this was my third class, he just stared at me, dumbfounded. He then showed me this another new move that I don't have the lingo to describe, but was pretty cool. I have a lot of stuff to pracitce for next week now. I am still very far away from lighting anything on fire.
The club was a mixed bag moodwise (you may feign your surprise now), but i did get out and dance before the night was over. S and I stayed up drinking more when we got home, and now here I am. I thought I was nauseous this morning from drinking, but on further reflection it was from the vitamin I took with no food in my stomach. Obviously, the moral is : vitamins are bad, and booze is good!
