Night of the Living Rain
Nov. 30th, 2005 12:37 pmMet up with an old friend I haven't seen in a while. We grabbed dinner, where I overstuffed myself due to my eating habits being thrown off all day. He did some shopping, I did some window shopping. I now have a few more books to throw down on my Christmas list (my mother will be soooo happy). To Reign in Hell is back in print, so that goes on the list. The first of the George R.R. Martin books will go there too (thanks Spitcurl) as will Kushiel's Dart (thanks SilentQ).
I quickly read through The Walking Dead last night, which follows the life of a man after he wakes from a coma and finds out zombies have brought civilization to an end. It focuses on how people react to the end of life as they know it, and how they react to each other. Right now it's pretty similar to most zombie stories out there, but it adds a few new twists. I'll follow it a bit more, and see where they go with it.
Thank you subconscious for the zombie dreams last night. Thank you to the storm last night too, that woke me up with arhythmicall drops on my window that sounded like tapping, scrabbling fingers.
Despite the bad sleep, I've been on top of my mood for the day. Nice one.
