Good news?

Should I be happy Harriet Miers withdrew her Supreme Court nomination or not?

The whole wheat side of me is concerned that a lot pressure was put on the President by the religious right to remove her, which means that we could end up with an extremely conservative (religious right style) Justice. 

The sugar frosted side of me is happy that we don't have another Michael Brown in office.  A good part of me simply can't trust any "friend of Bush" getting ANY position of power anywhere.

Ponder this, while I ponder my lunch.  In my case, ponder means "consume with great gusto"!

Observed Birthday Party reminder:

I'll be observing my birthday on 10/29 this year, as opposed to the actual date of 10/23

My plan is to go to New Ginza for sushi at 6:00 for tasty fish.
Between 8:00 and 10:00 I'd like to have people over for pre-drinks.
Shortly after 10:00 I'll be heading out to BloodFeast to dance the night away.

Sushi, drinks, dancing.  Three things that make me happy.  I'd be even happier if you could join me!

Please RSVP in a comment if you are coming for sushi, no RSVP neede for pre-drinks or clubbing.
If you have spoken to me already, or already RSVPed, you don't need to do so again.

Also, I understand that people have to get ready for the club, but I suspect I'm going to need a designated driver for the evening. Call it a hunch.  I'll let you guys decide who gets the honor.
