It could very well be that I function better on less sleep than more.  Last night I braved the chilly winds and pouring rain to roll some dice with friends, and then trip and glide across the dance floor.  I got a good one or two hours of less sleep.  The walk to the bus stop was less dead and dreary than the other days.  The sidewalk was strewn with leave and branches.  A parting gift from last night's nor'easter.  Perhaps that's part of the change too.  The weak and snively rain of the past two days finally blustered and roared.  The weather stopped being a weak hand, uncertain, tugging at your sleeve.  It grabbed you arm, spun you around, and stared you in the eye and gave you that little lurch in your belly, that lightning spark.  It may rain  and be gray for the rest of the week, but the spell this miserable weather has cast over me has been broken.
