I wish you could step out of yourself and just look

When I finished watching the Dreamers on Wednesday, I wasn't sure that I liked it.  The movies seemed to have an ambiguous ending for me.  The subject matter was a little unsettling, but far from the most shocking movies I've seen.  After reflecting on it a while longer, I decided that it did have a definite ending.  It just didn't like the choices that people made in the end.  I felt bad about his loss, her fear, and his poor judgement.  The bottom line was that I cared about tha characters.  To me, that is a trademark of a good film.
