The roads are pretty messy, folks. I sailed through New Hampshire w/out much problem, but was stuck behind several plows just over the Mass. border. I finally made it past them, and then was struck my a complete lack of visibility. I mean I saw squat. Then there was a muffled groan and the car stopped. And stalled.

I opened my door and realized I had drifted into a snow bank. A quick glance showed me that the much better paved road was only a short distance away. Wit a little dusting and maneuvering, I muscled back onto the road and began following tail lights.

It's not really the white out that was so bad. The roads themselves are pretty decently plowed. What gets you is the snow that melts on your windshield and becomes ice that blocks up your window. It's the ice that forms on your washer blades that makes them useless for cleaning your window. That's what can really get you.

In the end, I only got stuck attempting to turn into my driveway. Some serious shoveling, and a push from a police officer , got me in my driveway. Now it's time to relax.

Seriously. If you can help it, don't drive tonight.
