Another weekend looms, with plenty of dancing, dice-rolling, and debauchery ahead. The past week held successful dinners, cancelled dinners, ghost towns, savage defeats, dewing realizations, glazed eyes, and the constant struggle for perspective. The DNC was a non-issue for me. I know where my votes are going in the fall, and work was nowhere near the convention itself.

Things have been a little too quiet and complacent of late. It may be time to make some bold decisions. I'll likely pick up some new scars along the way. It's the price you pay for living.
