Friday was a stressful, angry, distracted day. The only thing worth mentioning about it was that I ate sushi and watched L.A. Confidential. Had I done these two tasks earlier in the evening as I inteded, I might have been able to salvage more of the day. I take solace in the fact that I didn't rant about it at the time. I cleaned, I blissed out on sushi, I slept.

After the war, what better way to celebrate than with a party? I really liked the theme and participants of the party. Usually I lack the time or energy to put into most theme parties, but I rather enjoy watching those that do. New people were met, a few new friends may emerge down the road. A new drink recipie was tasted, and got the job done, but I wisely pulled back from full scale debauchery. Pocky is no substitute for rice when it comes to bolstering your stomach against the alcoholic invaders!

Sunday was all about pancakes, war stories of a different nature, and a far better use of my free time than usual. Our DND group learned about an alternative way of dealing with the tax man, and why you should never trust a rogue, even one that's helping you. The first mountain of trash was taken down from the attic and left on the street, leaving another week to sort through things, and one more to pack.

This week started out on all the right feet: I was awake, focused at work, got a lot done, and still had time to write here. So there.
