Mmmmm spooky lycanthrope chicks

I don't know if the third film (a prequel) will be any good at all, I don't like the premise, but I will probably see it to be sure.
Ginger Snaps 2 was very moody, bleaker than the first movie, like diving into a dry pool and being fascinated with the details in the scummy pool floor as it rushes towards your face. Emily Perkins is fascinating to watch. I keep getting flashes of Eliza Dusku in her character, which plays no small part in my fascination. As always, the werewolves look fairly cheesy, but I have yet to see a good representation of a werewolf in a movie. They always look ridiculous. You'd think that could be fixed with a good CGI model, but so far no dice. The ending of the film was a bit of a surprise, but filled me with real sorrow.
Now that my good film quotient has been filled with today, I will be finally get to see a movie that causes wails of anguish and much hair pulling every time I mention it. In a few days, I'll get to know their pain as I finally watch... Anaconda!
